Creek Wood Girls, Boys Down Harpeth

The Creek Wood Lady Red Hawks tossed a 16-0 shut out in the first quarter as part of a 19-2 run to start the game before ending the night with a 60-33 win over visiting Harpeth.

Creek Wood, which improved to 9-2 overall, is currently riding a 5-game winning streak. Bri Burgess led Creek Wood with 15 points followed by Emily Michael with 13. Jessi Knall led Harpeth with a game-high 17.

On the boys side, the game remained a toss up throughout the first half and into the third quarter before Creek Wood finally started to pull away.

After clinging to a 29-24 lead at the break, Creek Wood, behind the hot hands of Tyler Neely and Raekwonn Nesbitt, exploded for 25 points in the third quarter and pulled away from there.

Neely would finish with a game-high 17 followed by Nesbitt with 16. Rex Edmondson added 14 in the paint followed by Bryson Payton with 11. Alden Williams scored 15 for Harpeth.

Creek Wood improved to 7-3 with 5 straight wins. The boys return to action tonight at home against long time rival Montgomery Central.
